Hi my name is Dr. Portia Basham, but you can call me Dr. P!

Dr. Portia Basham is the epitome of success as a mompreneur and brand strategist who infuses her unique gospel ministry into her work. With an exceptional background in entrepreneurship and hospitality, it comes as no surprise that she recognizes the utmost importance of providing outstanding customer service.
Aside from expertise, Dr. Basham is also a mentor, teacher, international speaker, 3x Amazon Best-Seller Author and leadership coach all with one purpose- to equip other ladypreneurs to stand upon their divine calling in both business and life. Her ambition to influence and enhance the lives of others is commendable; with her valuable experience and dynamic leadership,
Dr. Portia Basham stands out among her peers as a strong example of what it means to be an ambitious business professional committed to their core values and spiritual beliefs.
My passion is fueled by faith and incredible hard work
In 2008, Dr. Portia founded a society known as the RoyalTea Ladies Society—a social and empowerment group for women. Her organization exists to serve women who desire to advance their business goals and give back to the community.

RoyalTea Ladies have since supported local charities and non-profit organizations. They have raised thousands of dollars in donations and are currently serving over twenty families. They also render charity services to needy women, children with autism, and many other worthy causes.
​
​More importantly, Dr. Portia is a super active RoyalTea Lady due to her interest in serving, supporting, and advocating for mothers of autistic children.
Dr. Portia’s first son, Zachariah, saved to save, was diagnosed with autism, which affected his speech. He was just two and a half years old. Her vibrant, intelligent, and handsome little boy has since faced the challenges of life with autism.
This development devastated the entire family, but Dr. Portia and her husband encouraged themselves and decided to focus on God’s faithfulness, Zachariah’s happiness, and the therapists’ dedication to help. So, rather than giving up on their lovely son, they committed to helping him handle the challenges of a special needs diagnosis.

​Moved with compassion, Dr. Portia started educating herself on how to help mothers with children with special needs. And by God’s grace, love, patience, and determination, Dr. Portia and her family have been able to weather the storm until today.
​
​Although Zachariah still doesn’t speak fluently, Dr. Portia is grateful. She gladly commented “[Zachariah] is polite, potty-trained, can write his name, do basic mathematics and gives me the best hugs in the world.” Currently, Zachariah is in his teens, he is happy, prosperous, and progressive. He is presently in Middle School.

​Consequently, Dr. Portia’s experience over the years of caring for Zachariah was what spurred her commitment and selfless desire to provide support and coaching for mothers of children with special needs.

Fun Facts
Orginally From The Island of St. Lucia
Dr. Portia was born on the beautiful Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia. At seventeen, she started her career in hospitality at the Island’s most prominent resort, Royal St. Lucian. Dr. Portia later moved on to Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort as a Reservationist. However, she rose from reservationist to the resort’s Sales Manager through her diligence and dedication.
Won A Beauty Pagent
In 2003, Dr. Portia won the title “Miss St. Lucia Hospitality and Tourism.” She represented St. Lucia at home and abroad in promoting the country’s tourism industry. Dr. Portia leads and advocates a balanced life as she successfully combines the demands of career and education. In 2004, she backed a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management without failing in family, ministry, and business.

Dr. Portia offers her clients an invaluable service called “Building Like a Leading Lady.” This service is a unique brand strategy session to help women entrepreneurs build a solid and successful brand. She starts by helping them develop a clear and concise plan for making their brand stand out. She then helps her clients build a plan to communicate their brand's unique selling points in a way that resonates with their customers. By the end of the 60 minutes session, her clients have also created a plan on how to build an emotional connection with their customers that will last for years to come.
